Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, held a meeting with the administrations of the University Center for Career Development and the Center for Linking the University with Industry. In the presence of the members of the two centers to follow up the progress of work and review and discuss the plans and activities of the two centers during the coming period.
The President of the University praised the important role of the two centers, explaining that the aim of their establishment is to bridge the gap between the curricula and the requirements of the labor market and the extent to which the educational curricula meet these requirements and keep pace with modern technology, and the degree of readiness of new graduates to keep pace with this required technology. This is done by developing students’ capabilities and providing them with career guidance services to increase their opportunities in the labor market.
Dr. Jan discussed the aspects of work required with regard to the skills, knowledge and requirements of students and graduates, stressing the importance of introducing students to the jobs and specializations created on the labor market, the new criteria for selecting jobs related to their scientific specializations, and training them to choose the most appropriate for their studies and abilities.
