About University
The Republican Decree to establish Beni Suef Technological University was issued on June 3, 2019, regarding the issuance of Law No. 72 of 2019 establishing technological universities. This step is an important step in the development of a new path for technical education in Egypt.
Technological universities are extension of technical students’ path as they work to aquire them scientific and practical skills to cope international and local work market through applying the technological programs inside University facilities which are designed according to national projects needs and geographical considerations.
International cooperation between the university and the state of South Korea:
An agreement signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
There is a technical support team from the Korea University of Technology and Education (Korea Tech), and the ABEEK Foundation responsible for quality assurance and accreditation.
Beni-Suef Technological University comprises The Egyptian Korean Faculty of Technological Industry and Energy.
The faculty has three departments which are:
• Department of Industrial Technology.
• Department of Information Technology.
• Department of Energy Technology.
These departments include four programs which are:
• The Mechatronics program.
• The ICT program.
• The Autotronics program.
• The Renewable Energy program.
Beni-Suef Technological University grants the following degrees based on the approval of the university’s board:
• The professional higher diploma of technology in the specialization.
• The professional bachelor of technology in the specialization.
• The professional master of technology in the specialization.
• The professional doctorate of technology in the specialization.
Student acceptance
The Egyptian Korean Faculty of Technological Industry and Energy accepts Egyptian students who obtain a completion certificate of the technical secondary education; the three year system, the five year system and its technical certificates equivalent, high school completion certificate and its equivalents, deputations, post high school two years technical institutes completion certificate, professional diploma certificate, and those who get nominated by the coordinating office or the general administration for deputations according to the acceptance requirements determined by the higher council of universities.
The student must fulfill the faculty’s acceptance requirements, which are:
1. The student must obtain the minimum university acceptance limit, which is determined by the coordinating office or the higher council of universities.
2. Passing the qualifying ability tests for joining the college which are determined by the university’s council according to the applicable rules.
3. The student must be free to study at college.
4. Passing the college’s medical examination.
