Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, received Professor SEONG JOO CHOI at the head of a Korean delegation that included Dr. Jae Hyub LEE, Dr. Hyun Chan CHO, to enhance joint cooperation, and discuss lessons learned from the project “Establishment of the Egyptian-Korean College of Industry and Energy Technology 2016-2022”. This is in preparation for developing future action plans, and discussing joint coordination to activate the existing cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the State of South Korea to support Beni Suef Technological University technically and educationally through the project “Enhancing educational capabilities and linking the university and industry at Beni Suef Technological University”.
After the meeting, the Korean delegation inspected the university’s studio, the Korean Language Center, libraries and study laboratories. The delegation was briefed on the readiness of the university buildings to expand the development of new study programs, where the delegation praised the university’s capabilities and the level of study laboratories and their readiness with the latest technological means and equipment aimed at serving students and the educational process.
Dr. Jan pointed to the university’s keenness to open new horizons for joint cooperation with the Korean side, by consolidating cooperation with KOICA and Koreatech University technically and educationally to develop new study programs, and to benefit from academic and technological cooperation in light of the strength of Egyptian-South Korean relations. He stressed that cooperation with Korean partners aims to establish a strong base that contributes to preparing a generation of qualified technologists qualified to join the local, regional and international labor market.
The project “Enhancing educational capabilities and linking the university and industry at Beni Suef Technological University” is a continuation of the project “Establishing the Egyptian-Korean College of Industry and Energy Technology at Beni Suef Technological University”. It was successfully completed in 2022, through which KOICA established the ICT and Mechatronics programs, provided the necessary equipment, developed the curriculum, and supported the university to obtain accreditation for the curricula of the two programs for a period of 6 years from 2022 to 2028. …
