Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shoukr Nada, President of Bani Swief Technological University, received a committee from the technological education sector of the Higher Council of Universities, which included Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Hewi, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Technical Education and Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund of the Cabinet of Ministers, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Fathi Othman, and Prof. Dr. Gamal Nasr.
During the visit, the committee saw a detailed presentation of the capabilities of Bani Swief Technological University, presented by the University President. The presentation included an explanation of the study programs of the University, the technological laboratories in it, the signed protocols with the various industrial entities, bodies and authorities, in addition to the University’s future plan which includes the possibility of expanding the study programs and constructing new buildings through the inclusion of the “Silicon Oasis” in Bani Swief and Assiut as well as the Integrated Technical Education Cluster in Fayoum of the Education Development Fund.
The committee also checked the University’s laboratories which were equipped with the latest technological devices and equipment, libraries and classrooms. The committee held several meetings with the faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and students, to listen to their suggestions on developing the educational process to reach standards of quality and excellence.
This visit comes as a part of a regular follow-up on the technological universities, within the framework of the political leadership’s basic and direct support of the technological universities working to provide technological education that presents integrated educational and training services of a quality comparable to international quality systems, and which qualifies graduates for the local, regional and international labor markets.
It is worth noting that technological universities are establishing strategic partnerships with education and training institutions in the public and private sectors to provide specialized technical human resources, technical and administrative assistance, and participate in the membership of regional and international organizations, bodies, and institutions interested in education and training.
Dr. Nada expressed his happiness on this visit, stressing that it comes within the framework of the University’s desire to provide an educational system complying with the global foundations of technological education and improving the competitiveness of teaching and learning systems and outputs, and the quality standards through; developing resources, supporting students and their participation, the development of educational programs, evaluating learning, teaching and training outcomes, community participation and environmental development. The University President also emphasized that the University’s seek to advance and promote its educational and research role, in addition to reaching a leading position in the field of technological education through fruitful cooperation with the Korean partners and supporting the fields of modern technology and digital transformation in accordance with the international foundations of technological education.
