Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Kheder, President of Beni-Suef Technological University, the first military education course was launched at the university which lasts for 14 days and ends on February 9, during the mid-year academic vacation.
Dr. Kheder emphasized that military education courses aim to develop loyalty and belonging to the homeland, consolidate nationalism among students , qualify students physically and psychologically to engage in national service according to different recruiting stages, introduce students to importance of military history, prepare students for military life, develop team spirit at the initial educational stages and military shows, and introduce students to the role of the armed forces in development within the state.
For male students to graduate from public and private universities, it is required to pass the military education course, and each student determines the appropriate date for him to join it during the courses held annually by the Department of Military Education in each university.
