Under the patronage of Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, the Korean Language Center organized the advanced Korean course for university students to promote cultural diversity, expand horizons and exchange ideas, to contribute to deepening relations between the Egyptian and Korean peoples, and spreading Korean culture on a large scale.
The course began by introducing students to Korean country names and jobs, in addition to learning about some information about the Korean Proficiency Test “TOPIK”, which is a test to measure proficiency in Korean for non-native speakers in South Korea.
Students were also introduced to places, verbs, and traditional Korean numbers to be able to speak and ask about prices and ages, in addition to learning some everyday language words, syllables, and how to ask and answer age.
At the end of the course, the students were introduced to the positions, the components of the rooms of the house, and furniture, and the students were able to pass some fun games using numbers.
The course concluded with the organization of a special Egyptian-Korean entertainment day, in which the students and Korean volunteers ate traditional Egyptian and Korean meals, such as Egyptian Koshari and Korean Kimchi. In addition to strolling in the Nile boat to enjoy the charm of Egyptian nature and its picturesque beauty.
