Under the patronage of Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, the Egyptian-Korean College of Industry and Energy Technology organized practical training for students of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Program at the Veterans and War Victims Association “Loyalty and Hope Branch”. This is to provide them with the necessary quality vocational training and distinguished experiences that help them compete in the internal and external labor market.
The training included an explanation of the history of prosthetics and how to deal with the psychological state of the patient, dealing with a patient directly, how to take the patient’s medical history, in addition to participating in the evaluation of the prosthesis of an amputee patient below the knee.
Training was also conducted on a prosthetic limb to know how to install it correctly, and the problems that may occur with the patient, whether from the life span of the limb or future ulcers and wounds, in addition to training to evaluate the patient’s condition correctly and accurately for the work of the appropriate prosthesis.
Dr. Jan stressed that the university is working to coordinate with various bodies and institutions to provide practical training programs, and to conclude many cooperation agreements to contribute to the preparation of professional graduates in their work, enjoying a spirit of cooperation and innovation, and able to compete and assume leadership positions in their institutions and fields of work. He pointed out that the Egyptian state always seeks to adopt everything that helps achieve economic and social development, provide support to technological universities and encourage students to enroll in them to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
