Under the patronage of Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef University of Technology, the Equal Opportunities Unit, in cooperation with the National Council for Women and Resala Farah Foundation, organized an awareness seminar entitled “Secrets of Relationships in Mental Health”, in which Mr. Fadi Nassif Wesely, a mental health specialist, lectured.
The seminar dealt with explaining the concept of mental health and its approaches, and how social relationships affect mental health, in addition to a quick overview of some mental disorders.
The seminar also dealt with the art of dealing with others, the sources of psychological stress in relationships and strategies for dealing with them, and the impact of human relationships on mental health. In addition to defining healthy relationships based on unconditional acceptance of the other, and defining toxic relationships, their types, signs and how to deal with them. At the end of the seminar, the lecturer answered the questions of the attendees.
Dr. Jan pointed out the importance of paying attention to mental health, which is the basis of physical health, and the extent of their impact on each other, stressing that mental health care avoids many disorders that may hinder human life in light of the pressures of life.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Ayman Mohamed Zein, Director of the Egyptian-Korean College of Industry and Energy Technology, Mr. Narmine Mahmoud, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women Branch in Beni Suef, Mother Athanathia, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Resala Farah Foundation for Development and Social Services, members of the Equal Opportunities Unit, supporting faculty members, and a number of university students.
