Under the patronage of Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, the Equal Opportunities Unit, in cooperation with the Center for Linking the University with Industry, organized a visit to the National Council for Women to discuss joint cooperation, within the framework of the recommendations of the Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to intensify cooperation with the National Council for Women to implement the objectives of the National Strategy for Women’s Empowerment 2030.
The visit aims to cooperate between the two sides in the field of combating violence against women, and to develop activities and programs that serve the women’s sector and society and the mechanisms for implementing these programs, as well as studying future projects for women and discussing the best ways to achieve them in order to achieve the university’s role in community service.
During the visit, they also discussed aspects of providing the necessary services and support to battered women through Beni Suef Technological University, with a number of awareness seminars organized within the university to raise awareness of the role of women .In the same context, a visit was organized for university students to the Angel Set Yeast factory, to learn about the stages of yeast manufacturing, and the stages of production, where the students listened to an explanation about the factory, and the activities it does, and the visit also included asking many questions with a number of workers inside the factory to learn about the working conditions that help them carry out their duties and responsibilities and achieve the goals of the factory, which makes them feel satisfied in their work. At the end of the visit, they discussed with factory officials the possibility of providing more job opportunities for university students inside the factory after graduation.
