Bani Swief Technological University wins an Entrepreneurship Club project as the first technological university, with a funding of 250 thousand pounds from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.
The work team at Bani Swief Technological University was able to win the Entrepreneurship Club project from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, which aims to:
Support economic, social and human development by providing technical consultations, designing, implementing and managing development and innovation programs and initiatives aimed at spreading the culture of entrepreneurship and proper scientific thinking as a way for solving societal problems at the village, neighborhood, city, governorate, and state levels. Encourage the youth to establish their own small and micro enterprises, help them know about the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation, raise their awareness of financial inclusion, and start their own ideas aimed at solving a society problem through building partnerships and managing development programs.
Within the framework of the state’s orientations towards economic, social and human development, support for entrepreneurship and small and micro enterprises, and the university’s belief that raising awareness of the youth and investing in them is a shared responsibility among various institutions and one of the important foundations for achieving sustainable development.
The president of Bani Swief Technological University explained that the club’s membership will be available to all students who wish to become business owners in the future, and possess distinguished entrepreneurial abilities, which contributes to the constructive economic impact in the country and the achievement of Egypt’s 2030 vision.
He pointed out that the center seeks, within a year, to establish a student family for entrepreneurship, to hold two entrepreneurship competitions for students annually, in addition to a week for entrepreneurship at the university, to qualify 5 teams to apply to one of the technological incubators, and to invite public and distinguished figures in the field of emerging companies and entrepreneurship to give lectures at the university, as well as to hold a work camp for training on thinking and design skills.
Abdel Qader pointed out that the club aims to build a culture of entrepreneurship and develop the capabilities of entrepreneurial elements to enable them to successfully establish and manage small enterprises, and to enhance the entrepreneurial capabilities of students of various educational stages to find pioneering ideas for future projects, and to motivate innovators and inventors and invest in their innovations and talents in order to transform them into economic products and launch companies based on locally developed technologies.
