Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shoukr Nada, President of Bani Swief Technological University, the University organized a celebration on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Bilal, Vice President for Academic Affairs of the University, faculty members, university staff and students.
The celebration began with the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt, followed by a recitation of verses from the Qur’an, then a speech by the University President in which he congratulated the audience on the beginning of the new academic year, the anniversary of the victories of the October War 1973 and Prophet Mohamed’s birthday.
During his speech, the University President assured that the university offers a variety of technological programs that contribute to developing the capabilities of the learners to be competent and skilled individuals who are able to take responsibility in contributing to building their society in a positive and constructive manner. He also explained that the programs offered by the university include precise specializations that equip students with knowledge and functional skills, in addition to creating a prosthetics and orthotics technological program at the University this year.
Prof. Dr. Nada indicated that the University seeks to conclude cooperation protocols with various bodies and institutions to enhance joint cooperation, exchange experiences, and advance technological education, in addition to the University’s interest in practical training in many factories and bodies to contribute to the enhancement of the educational process and the graduation of qualified graduates with a distinguished level of technological knowledge and creativity.
The University President pointed to the possibilities offered by the University to serve the educational process and students through carefully-equipped facilities, modern and advanced technological laboratories, the lecture halls which are equipped with smart boards, as well as the distinguished professors, and industry, in order to reach the desired goals. His Excellency encouraged the students to practice and participate in the various student activities, referring to the establishment and activation of the Entrepreneurship Club office at the University which aims to build a culture of entrepreneurship and develop the capabilities of future entrepreneurs to enable them to successfully establish and manage small enterprises, and to enhance the entrepreneurial capabilities of students of different educational levels that aim to solve one of the society’s problems through building partnerships and managing development programs.
During the celebration, the University President honored the families of the martyrs in appreciation of their role in protecting our homeland. Prof. Dr. Nada also honored the students who came in the first place in the various University programs. The celebration program included a number of artistic and cultural presentations presented by the University students. Preventive measures, wearing face masks, and applying the rules of social distancing among the attendees were considered, which comes in light of the precautionary measures taken by the University to limit the spread of Corona virus.
