Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shoukr Nada, President of Bani Swief Technological University, the University is preparing to hold the student union elections while considering the precautionary measures.

The University President stressed that the student elections should be held in accordance with the interest and keenness of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to provide opportunities for the university students to be able to take responsibility and make decisions so that they can freely choose their representatives in the student unions.

Dr. Nada called for the necessity of discipline during the electoral process in order for it to be conducted transparently and democratically so that students can participate. He also called for taking the precautionary measures that the university follows to ensure the safety of the students and university staff, wishing the university students success in the electoral process.

According to the approved timetable by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, nominations will open on the 18th of November, initial lists will be announced on the 21st of November, appeals will be received on the 22nd of November, and they will be examined on the 23rd of November. The final lists will be announced on the 24th of November, the electoral campaigning will begin on the 25th of November, and the first-round elections, counting and results will be announced on the 28th of November at the colleges. The run-off round will be held on the 29th of November, then elections for committee secretaries and their assistants will be held at the college level on the 30th of November, and the elections for the president and vice president of the student union at the college level will be held on the 1st of December. Student elections will end with the election of committee secretaries and their assistants, and the president and vice president of the University Union on the 2nd of December, 2021.
