The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology announces the opening of nominations and applications for the State Awards, which include the Nile Awards, the State Appreciation Awards, the State Excellence Awards, and the State Encouragement Awards for the year 2022.

 

To apply for the Nile Awards and the State Appreciation Awards, the applicant must be nominated by universities, institutions, research entities, or specialized scientific associations. The nominee should have an independent personality and be engaged in advanced sciences or advanced technological sciences. Those currently holding positions in these institutions, such as board members or chairpersons, or any ministers during their tenure, are not eligible for nomination. The nominated individual should have accepted the nomination, which should be supported by the nominating entity. As for the State Excellence and State Encouragement Awards, nominations can be made by the mentioned entities above, and individuals can directly apply for them.

 

Each of the following awards accepts only one nominee:

  1. Nile Award for Sciences
  2. Nile Award for Advanced Technological Sciences
  3. State Appreciation Award for Basic Sciences
  4. State Appreciation Award for Agricultural Sciences
  5. State Appreciation Award for Medical Sciences
  6. State Appreciation Award for Engineering Sciences
  7. State Appreciation Award for Advanced Technological Sciences Serving Basic Sciences
  8. State Appreciation Award for Advanced Technological Sciences Serving Agricultural Sciences
  9. State Appreciation Award for Advanced Technological Sciences Serving Medical Sciences
  10. State Appreciation Award for Advanced Technological Sciences Serving Engineering Sciences
  11. Pioneers’ Awards for distinguished senior scientists in Egypt who have remarkable scientific achievements, excluding Nile Award recipients
  12. Women’s Appreciation Award for distinguished ladies in Egypt who have scientific, social, and economic achievements that positively impact society, family, women, and children, excluding Nile Award recipients

The deadline for submitting nominations via email is December 31, 2020.
