Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reviewed a report submitted by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shoukr Nada, Acting President of Bani Swief Technological University, on the singing of a cooperation protocol with Nahda University.

The report stated that under this protocol, coordination and cooperation between Bani Swief Technological University and Nahda University will take place in order to benefit from the scientific research and innovations carried out by students and teaching staff in the two universities. Opportunities will be provided to industrialists, industrial companies, supporting and financing institutions to adopt these innovations towards implementing them to benefit from the capacities, creative minds and wonderful ideas of the Egyptian youth.

The report also added that the protocol aims at enhancing cooperation between the two universities in the fields of training, technical, and practical applications for students by taking advantage of the workshops and laboratories available at the two universities. Besides holding joint conferences in the fields of industrial and technological development, training and employment. In addition to that, the protocol aims to develop new joint programs between the two parties for the development of the surrounding environment, qualifying graduates for the labor market, cooperating in the field of postgraduate studies and scientific research, establishing joint vocational and study programs between the two parties, as well as submitting proposals for technical, technological and administrative support in the areas of: local development, administrative development, training, tourism promotion, health care, and urban design and development, to help Beni Suef governorate develop industrially, aesthetically and schematically.

The cooperation protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shoukr Nada, President of Bani Swief Technological University, and Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi, President of Nahda University, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, and a number of leaders from the governorate and the two universities.

Dr. Hossam Al-Malahi stressed on the importance of supporting and strengthening cooperation frameworks between the Egyptian universities to support the quality of the educational performance, which will reflect on the higher education system in Egypt. He also stressed his aspiration for more fruitful cooperation in the educational, research and academic fields, to advance the industry inside and outside Beni Suef Governorate.

Dr. Mohamed Shoukr Nada expressed his happiness at signing the cooperation agreement with Nahda University, stressing on Bani Swief Technological University’s aspiration to conclude many cooperation protocols with various bodies and institutions to enhance joint cooperation and advance technological education. In addition, developing the University’s local and international scientific and cultural relations towards achieving the desired goals to graduate a generation capable of competing in the local, regional and international labor market, and to provide the necessary expertise for the university students at both scientific and practical levels.

Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim confirmed that the cooperation between the two universities promotes scientific ideas through the exchange of experiences, noting that the governorate has many investment opportunities to become a guarantor to lead development in the governorates of Upper Egypt. He as well stressed on the importance of signing such protocols, which aim to refine students’ skills, provide them with the necessary practical experience, and equip them with knowledge and practical experience to be able to join the labor market.
