Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shoukr Nada, President of Bani Swief Technological University, participated in the Conference of Equal Educational Opportunities, organized by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Information and Communications Technology, and a number of Egyptian university presidents and civil society representatives. The conference comes in line with the directives of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to support students who are unable, and to support social justice policies and equal educational opportunities in universities and institutes, which contributes to extending social welfare, providing more educational opportunities, eradicating illiteracy, and contributing to the state’s sustainable development plan.

The University President stressed the importance of equal educational opportunities, which is one of the fundamental principles that support and have a positive impact on education, pointing out that one of the forms of this is free education, where money does not stand in the way of an adequate opportunity for one’s educational abilities, and nothing stands in the way of the people with special needs from getting the same opportunities as their normal peers do.

Prof. Dr. Nada explained that public education is a basic base for providing educational service, and that the principle of equal opportunities remains one of the main pillars that must be integrated in the development of education, and its role as a tool for social mobility.
