The Youth Welfare Department of the Egyptian-Korean College of Industry and Energy Technology at Beni Suef Technological University opened its headquarter this morning to receive students wishing to run for the Student Union elections.

Youth Welfare Dept. receives applications for candidacy starting from 9 a.m till 3:30 p.m, in order to prevent student congestion, in addition to organizing the process for students entering the headquarter of withdrawing and submitting forms, taking into account all precautionary measures to confront the emerging coronavirus.
University President Prof. Sayed Abdel Kader called on students to participate positively in the Student Union elections, which represents the first democratic experiment to train students in political participation and positive interaction, whether by candidacy or election.

It is worth noting that the initial lists of candidates will be announced on Sunday, December 13, provided that the appeals are received on Monday, December 14 and examined the next day immediately, and the final lists will be announced on Wednesday, December 16. The election campaigning begins on December 17 for a period of 3 days, while the first round elections will be held in colleges, screening and announcing. The results will be held on Sunday, December 20, and the re-run the next day. The elections for the committees, college secretaries and their assistants will take place on Tuesday, December 22, and the next day, December 23, the elections for the heads of the colleges’ federations and their deputies. The student elections will be concluded on Thursday, December 24, with the election of the university union president, his deputy, committee secretaries and their assistants at the University level.
