Beni Suef Technological Univrsity is preparing to hold the Student Union elections, after the Minister of Higher Education issued a decision to start holding them on Sunday 20/12/2020, amid strict precautionary measures.
University President Sayed Abdel Kader announced the launch of the student election marathon for the academic year 2020/2021, starting tomorrow, Thursday, December 10, by opening the candidacy, withdrawing and submitting the forms, indicating that the university is preparing for the elections and will provide it with a fair competitive environment to enable the students to choose freely their representatives in student unions.

The university president explained that the elections will be held in democracy and integrity, stating that the university will open the field of competition among students within the framework of commitment, transparency and non-alignment, stressing that the university stands at the same distance from all its students, so that Beni Suef Technological University will be an honorable example to be emulated.
Prof. Abdel-Kader confirmed that the elections will be held taking into account all precautionary measures to confront the coronavirus to provide the appropriate atmosphere for student participation in the electoral process in an effective, easy and smooth manner.

It is scheduled to announce the initial lists of candidates on Sunday, December 13th, provided that the appeals will be received Monday, December 14 and examined the next day immediately. The final lists will be announced on Wednesday, December 16, and the election campaigning will start on December 17 and for a period of 3 days, while the first round elections will be held in colleges and the counting and the results will be announced on Sunday, December 20, and the re-run on the next day. The elections for committees, college secretaries and their assistants will take place on Tuesday, December 22, and the next day, December 23, elections for college federations’ presidents and their deputies, provided that student elections conclude on Thursday, December 24, with the election of the university union president, his deputy, committee secretaries and their assistants at the university level.
