Dr. Jean-Henri Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, chaired the monthly meeting of the Unit for Equal Opportunities, Combating Discrimination against Women, and Supporting People of Determination, in the presence of Dr. Naguib Al-Sheikh, Vice President of the University for Training and Industry Affairs, and Dr. Ali Abdel Tawab, Dean of the Egyptian-Korean College of Industrial and Energy Technology, Prof. Mustafa Hassan Metwally, Secretary General of the University, and members of the committee.
During the meeting, the university president discussed a proposal to hold a workshop on entrepreneurship for girls at the university in cooperation with the University-Industry Connection Center (UICC), in addition to holding a symposium entitled “Be Positive” for female members of the administrative staff and students in cooperation with Beni Suef Governorate, and another symposium entitled “Occupational Health and Safety.” For university employees in cooperation with Beni Suef University Hospital.
It is worth noting that the Unit for Equal Opportunities, Combating Discrimination against Women, and Supporting People of Determination aims to empower women and preserve their rights, confront and eliminate forms of discrimination against women within the university, remove its effects, whether economic, social, or psychological, and support people of determination, protect their rights, and integrate them into society. Within the university, spreading awareness and culture, and consolidating the values of equality, equal opportunities, and non-discrimination in this field.
