Under the patronage of Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, the Korean Language Center organized educational meetings for university students to learn about Korean culture. It aims to strengthen cultural relations to contribute to deepening relations between the Egyptian and Korean peoples, and spreading Korean culture on a large scale.
During the first meeting, the students learned about the types of Korean food, its ingredients, types of restaurants, the most common dishes in Korea, and Korean special occasions and celebrations.
In the second meeting, the students learned about the difference between an apartment and a house, and listened to an explanation about the traditional shape of the house in Korea, what its structure and methods of heating it are during the winter.
During the third meeting, the students were introduced to the types of clothes for different age groups, and the clothes intended for students inside and outside the school. They also learned about seasonal clothing and traditional clothing within Korea.
As for the fourth and final meeting, the students got acquainted with the tourist places in Korea and made a virtual trip to Seoul, Busan and Jeju Island, through which they learned about entertainment places, cinemas and others.
It is worth mentioning that the meetings organized by the center to introduce Korean culture included learning the basics of the Korean language and using simple expressions and terms.
