Today, Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, received the delegation of the Housing Unit in the governorate, under the guidance of Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, and Mr. Bilal Habash, Deputy Governor and General Supervisor of the Population Unit in the governorate, where the delegation included: Mr. Mohamed El-Beheiry, Director of the Population Unit, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud, Mr. Wissam Ali, and Mr. Sarah Heshmat, members of the unit at the Governorate General Office, in order to coordinate on the implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, regarding the population issue.
Dr. Jan stressed that the university strives to work with Beni Suef Governorate to participate in raising awareness of the population issue, and creating innovative solutions, especially since the youth of Beni Suef Technological University have a conscious and innovative thought. He explained that coordination will be made to work with the unit by identifying a coordinator for population work within the university to enhance opportunities for cooperation with the unit and coordination with all executive bodies and institutions to support presidential initiatives, follow up on their achievements and remove all obstacles that prevent their activation, by spreading the population issue among university students, starting with intensifying seminars and scientific meetings for youth participation in the roadmap, and conducting population studies related to the governorate and helping to analyze the causes of the problem and develop scientific solutions to it. In addition to intensifying the work of mobile clinics and comprehensive population convoys, providing health care and family planning services, eradicating illiteracy, raising awareness against dropping out of education, and qualifying young people for manual and craft work.
