Under the patronage of Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef University of Technology, the university organized a workshop in cooperation with Education for Employment “EFE Egypt” (Education For Employment Egypt) to train students and provide them with the necessary skills for jobs by learning to write a CV, and how to show skills in personal interviews.

The workshop dealt with how to write a professional CV, how to market personal skills and employ them well in the CV, and divide them in an organized manner by clarifying their constituent elements such as contact data, career goals, experience, academic qualifications, social and specialized skills, professional achievements, training courses, writing workshops and courses obtained by the applicant in the field of specialization and updating personal data. The use of events from the latest to the oldest, the expression of certain actions about personal skills, and other basics that must be available in the CV and that give a preconceived impression of the applicant’s seriousness and skills in expressing them. Students were also trained on successful and effective preparation to pass a job interview, how to answer various expected questions, and discuss how to search for jobs online in various fields.

For his part, Dr. Jan pointed out that the university is working to provide its students with professional skills and expand vocational training to qualify them for the needs of the internal and external labor market, and link them to appropriate job opportunities, by linking educational outputs with the needs of the labor market for its students and graduates. This is to identify their successful career paths, in addition to training in leadership skills, problem solving, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship, in order to enhance the university’s efforts in serving students and graduates.
