Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, received a delegation from the Rotary Club to discuss joint cooperation in the fields of community service and environmental development.
The President of the University expressed his thanks to the Rotary Club and those in charge of it, appreciating the efforts and services they provide to the people of Beni Suef, praising the societal role played by the club in cooperation with the university in order to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development, by organizing medical convoys, holding awareness and educational seminars in various fields, holding ready-made clothing exhibitions for students who are unable to attend the university, and other effective activities to serve the people of the governorate. He stressed the importance of cooperation and integration with civil society institutions to provide the best level of services to citizens and meet all their needs.
The visit also included a workshop on “Principles of First Aid”, which included the main objective of first aid, the definition of the paramedic and his specifications, and setting priorities for providing first aid. It included identifying the components of the first aid kit, the different types of injuries, and how to deal with them for first aid in cases of suffocation with a foreign body, bleeding, fractures, burns, poisoning, epileptic seizure, diabetic coma and others.
At the end of the visit, the students of the Mechatronics program received the certificates of the summer training that was implemented at the Jerusalem Carton Factory, within the framework of cooperation between the University Link Center with Industry (UICC) and the Rotary Club of Beni Suef.
