Beni Suef Technological University, under the auspices of Dr. Jean-Henry Hanna, President of the University, participated in the activities of the training program for preparing public leaders, “equal opportunities” for female students of technological universities under the slogan “Future Pioneers”. Which is organized by the Institute for Leadership Development in Helwan during the period from 2 to 5 December 2023, with the aim of empowering and activating the positive role of girls, and raising awareness of issues of women’s empowerment and combating violence. It also aims at proper nutrition and reproductive health, and the role of society in supporting these issues, in addition to clarifying the role of the National Council for Women in confronting societal issues, and lectures on divorce issues, moderate religious discourse and the role of the media in building awareness.

The program is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the supervision of Dr. Karim Hammam, Advisor to the Minister for Student Activities and Director of the Institute. Also under the patronage of Ms. Hala Al-Amin, Director General of the Citizens Service Department at the Ministry, and Dr. Hossam Al-Sharif, Undersecretary of the Institute.
For his part, Dr. Jan pointed out the need to ensure that university students practice various student activities as one of the most important pillars and foundations of the university work system that contributes to the development of their skills culturally, socially, artistically, scientifically and sports. He explained the importance of the role of women in the renaissance of society and their ability to prove their presence at work, stressing his full support for these activities. He appreciated the efforts made by the Equal Opportunities and Women’s Empowerment Unit in participating in these activities and events, which coincide with the campaign to combat violence against women.

Through this program, the institute aims to equip girls with the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to contribute effectively to building a more advanced and prosperous society. This program also comes as part of the Institute’s continuous efforts to promote understanding and awareness among young people, and support them to become leaders in the process of development and progress.
