Under the patronage of Dr. Jan Henri Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, the Youth Welfare Department, in collaboration with the General Administration for Cultural Activities at the Ministry of Higher Education, organized a seminar titled “Future Professions, Jobs, and Skills.” The speakers included Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Karkit and Dr. Dalia Khairy Abdel-Fattah. The event was attended by Mr. Moustafa Hassan Motawalli, the university’s Secretary-General, and Dr. Emad Jameel, the Vice Dean of the Egyptian-Korean College for Industrial and Energy Technology for Education and Student Affairs.
The seminar addressed the rapid technological advancements and the changing nature of the workforce in the future, leading to shifts in the characteristics of certain jobs. It emphasized the necessity of unconventional thinking and planning for the future to ensure access to suitable opportunities. This involves understanding future job prospects and how to develop current jobs to align with future professions.
The discussion also touched upon the role of graduates from technological universities as highly sought-after specialties, especially given the development of industries and the Egyptian state’s Vision 2030. The speakers outlined the necessary steps for preparing technologists capable of competing in the local, regional, and international job markets.
At the end of the seminar, the speakers addressed questions and inquiries from the audience, and certificates of appreciation were distributed to participating students.
