Dr. Jan Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, met with Mr. Hossam Abdel Kader, Head of the Central Administration for Entrepreneurship, and Dr. Ahmed El-Halfawy, General Manager of Entrepreneurship at “Your Idea Your Company.” The purpose of the meeting was to discuss potential collaboration in the field of entrepreneurship.
The meeting addressed the project to enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Egypt, which is being implemented by providing information and expanding the range of services specifically designed for entrepreneurs. The Central Administration for Entrepreneurship, under the sponsorship of the African Development Bank, is responsible for executing this project.
The discussion also covered the services provided by “Your Idea Your Company,” including awareness programs and workshops for youth to stimulate creative thinking and transform their ideas into projects. Additionally, guidance sessions and counseling in business development for idea owners and startups were highlighted.
Dr. Jan emphasized that entrepreneurship is one of the state’s directions to contribute to development. The university is committed to providing the necessary training and qualification for its students, aiming to bridge the gap between academic courses and the job market. The collaboration aims to empower young people to establish projects based on the outcomes of scientific research.
It’s worth mentioning that the Central Administration for Entrepreneurship, “Your Idea Your Company,” is a specialized government center supporting entrepreneurs in Egypt. It targets innovative idea owners, entrepreneurs, university students, recent graduates, and small investors through startups in the early stages, as well as companies in the growth and expansion phases.
