Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Khedr, President of Beni-Suef Technological University, received a delegation from the “UNESCO Future Builders” club, in order to discuss ways of joint cooperation through launching the “Future Makers” initiative in technological universities, which targets students and graduates of technological universities nationwide.
This initiative aims to activate the role of youth of technological universities and develop their skills in various aspects, qualify them for the labor market, bridge the gap between students and the requirements of the labor market, and encourage innovation and creativity.
Dr. Kheder emphasized that establishment of technological universities came out of the state’s keenness to provide an education that takes into account the social dimension of families and achieves the students’ desire of technical diplomas to join the university , as technological universities provide an attractive educational environment to bridge the gap between technicians and engineers that the labor market always suffers from, and finally qualify students For the local, regional and international labor market, as the Egyptian state is undergoing a stage of construction and development, in addition to the Egyptian society’s need for technological education.
It is worth noting that the “UNESCO Future Builders” club is accredited by the Egyptian National Committee for UNESCO, and one of the UNESCO clubs accredited to the lists of clubs, as it works to raise awareness in order achieve the concept of sustainable development. The club seeks to implement the objectives of the UNESCO and ALECSO clubs, which help youth and children in permanent development, continuous education, participation in events, and work on training young people on the labor market and training on entrepreneurship.
